Our Friends Place is Hiring a Marketing Coordinator Near Dallas, TX

Mission Statement:

Our Friends Place is a 501c3 Dallas-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young women break generational cycles of abuse, neglect, poverty, and homelessness through empowering self-reliance and independence.

We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Coordinator Contractor/Freelancer to support our organization in various marketing and administrative tasks. This role will play a vital part in enhancing our visibility, engagement, and outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills, attention to detail, social media and content creation experience, and a passion for our mission.

This role is largely remote with some key in-person events throughout the year. It requires 15-20 hours weekly and offers $25-$35 an hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

· Collaborate with the Community Engagement Manager to plan and execute content calendars aligned with social media strategy and campaign objectives.

· Assist in developing compelling and engaging content for various channels, including social media, website, email newsletters, and promotional materials. This includes writing e-newsletters, press releases, social media posts, and other marketing collateral.

· Assist in crafting persuasive and impactful copy for marketing materials, fundraising campaigns, and event promotions to ensure all messaging aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our target audience.

· Assist in taking high-quality photos and short-form videos that align with our brand and storytelling objectives. This includes behind-the-scenes footage.

· Edit photos and videos to enhance their visual appeal, consistency, and storytelling impact. This involves color correction, cropping, retouching, adding text overlays, and other editing techniques.

Social Media Management:

· Assist in planning, executing, and managing social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

· Create, schedule, and publish content, engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and assist in analyzing performance metrics to optimize our social media presence.

· Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in social media content creation and optimization.

· Tailor visual content to specific platforms and audiences, ensuring maximum reach and impact.

· Track and report key performance metrics and analytics such as engagement, reach, and conversion.

Administrative Support:

· Provide administrative assistance to help facilitate the successful implementation and completion of marketing initiatives, including maintaining marketing databases, organizing files, and managing correspondence. Ensure data accuracy, update records, and help generate reports and analytics as requested by the Community Engagement Manager.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in marketing, social media management, or related roles.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Proficiency in using social media platforms, content management systems, and email marketing tools.

· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Google Suites.

· Experience with project management tools such as Asana or Trello is a plus.

· Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.

· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

· Passionate about our mission and making a positive impact in the community.
