The aim of the College Readiness Program is to help students and their families understand the basic vocabulary of the college application process and select an educational setting that is best for them. By giving each student individual attention, we expose our Tepeyac students, as well as their families, to the opportunities that exist both academically and financially and support her as she selects a college and completes the application process. The program also serves to expose students to an array of different careers and supports through career panels, summer opportunities, college field trips, and the mentoring program. The program also helps develop leadership skills by spearheading a Leadership Development Program in conjunction with other Big Shoulders Fund High Schools.
