ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
● Perform engineering experiments by following instructions
● Process and test wafers and parts using defined procedures
● Perform visual inspections
● Operate testing instrument and inspection equipment (optical microscope,
SEM, etc) and interpret results
● Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality and react to Out of
Control conditions including defect troubleshooting
● Recover from process and tool interruptions
● Use standard software applications and specific programs creating reports and
documenting procedures
● Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool
availability, cycle time, utilization and cost
● Complete all required reporting and documentation
● Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and
requirements
● Actively participate in continuous improvement processes and on the
Emergency Response Team
● Train new team members
● Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all
Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS:
● High School Degree (or equivalent) with 5 years of relevant experience
● Experience with wafer manufacturing and assembly of complex
electro-mechanical devices, preferably of a microfluidic, biological lab-on-a-chip
purpose a plus
● Strong team player with ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team
environment
● Exceptional oral and written communication skills
● Exceptional detail-oriented execution of job function required
● Ability to work independently and with others as a team
● Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semi-conductor
protocol/requirements
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.50 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
