Out&Back Outdoor, Inc. is Hiring a Customer Experience Manager Near Denver, CO

Customer Experience Manager

Out & Back Outdoor is looking to welcome a Customer Experience Manager to our team. Reporting to the Head of Growth, this role will be hybrid out of our Denver headquarters.

The ideal candidate will be excited to join a fast growing startup in the outdoor industry where you’ll have a hand in shaping the future of the company. As the first full-time dedicated customer experience manager, you’ll work closely with our CEO, marketing and operations teams to standardize our vision and process for customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer questions via email and chat, process returns and keep automated responses and FAQs up-to-date.
  • Work with the operations team to streamline communications and workflow as it relates to customer service.
  • Establish customer service standards and processes to ensure a high-quality customer experience and drive loyalty.
  • Collect, analyze and report on customer experience metrics
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to forecast and hire temporary and full-time support staff as needed based on ticket volume.
  • Partner with marketing for strategies on customer retention and loyalty improvement.
  • Report website issues identified through customer feedback to the marketing team.

Job Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in customer service with ideally one or two years as a team lead preferably in retail or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end customer support operations, including strategy design and implementation.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service platforms such as Gorgias or ZenDesk.
  • Familiarity with Shopify
