Infection Preventionist
Are you passionate about keeping people safe and healthy? We seek an experienced Infection Preventionist to join our Majestic Care Center Nursing Home team. As an Infection Preventionist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection control policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of our residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention protocols
- Conduct regular audits and surveillance to identify potential infection risks
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community resources to stay updated on best practices in infection prevention
- Investigate and control outbreaks of infectious diseases within the facility
- Participate in the development of emergency preparedness plans related to infection control
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, microbiology, public health, or related field
- Certification in infection control (CIC) preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to infection prevention and control
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Experience working in a long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred
