Job Title: Nursing Home Porter

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nursing home porter to join our team. The primary responsibility of the nursing home porter is to provide support in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the residents and staff. The porter will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning and sanitizing common areas, assisting with residents' needs, and ensuring that supplies are stocked.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize common areas such as hallways, dining areas, and lounges

- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste

- Assist in moving furniture and other heavy items as needed

- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or fixing minor repairs

- Be a helpful and friendly presence for residents and staff

- Follow all safety protocols and ensure a hazard-free environment

- Keep inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and notify management when supplies are running low

- Other duties as assigned by the nursing home administration

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred

- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization

- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects

- Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening

- Commitment to providing exceptional service to residents and staff
