Job Summary

We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing assigned accounts throughout the invoice to cash cycle, including collections, credit line administration, and resolution of billing disputes. As the primary point of contact for accounts receivable inquiries, the specialist will provide exceptional customer service and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer-related inquiries. The specialist will also identify and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency and support the capture and processing of invoices. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain financial records accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage assigned accounts through the invoice to cash cycle to include collections, credit line administration and billing dispute identification and resolution.
• Serve as the single point of contact for inquiries, requests and issues related to accounts receivable.
• Identify/ execute opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate internally with Sales, Account Manager and Operations Team to respond to customer related inquiries.
• Support the capture and processing of invoices for customers.
• Support resolution of invoices in order to collect payment.
• Resolves billing inquiries.
• Processes cycle billing to produce accounting entries and customer bills.
• Maintains financial records, accounts, ledgers, and journals.
• Prepares journal entries and posts transactions to proper accounts.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Finance, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Accounting, Billing, or related industry experience is required.
• Prior work experience in Finance, Accounts Payable/ Receivable, Accounting or related is strongly preferred.
• Accounting concepts, practices, and procedures, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Accounting software packages.
• Microsoft Office – Intermediate skill level is required. (For example, candidate must have proficiency to utilize excel charts, pivot tables and v-lookup).
• Strong collaboration and relationship building skills, negotiation skills, customer service skills, attention to detail, process orientation, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to present financial data in a meaningful way cross functionally and to different levels of leadership, problem solving skills, sense of urgency is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
