Description: The core mission of the Junior Press Operator is to manage and troubleshoot supplied digital assets and efficiently run and maintain the digital press under the supervision of the Print Production Supervisor. This position requires a keen sensitivity and commitment to satisfying our quality standards and meeting schedule demands. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
File preparation
File preparation using variable data assets
Job prep for press interface
Operating digital press
Troubleshooting press
Manage paper stock
Manage press consumables
As needed and according to seasonal workflow demands, will also perform finishing functions, including Perforating Machine operation, Shrink Wrap Machine operation, Perfect Binder operation, Book Trimmer operation, Laminator operation
Requirements:

2 - 3 years Digital Press Operation in a high-volume production environment required
Strong working knowledge and ability to manipulate files in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat is preferred
Must be able to meet schedule demands in season, including overtime or adjusted shift work as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years practical experience in a production digital print environment
Strong production background, including operating digital press and manipulating digital print files using graphic design software required.
Must have the ability to manipulate PDF files, use RIP software, and evaluate print files.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting, must be able to lift 35-40 lbs.
Exposure to machinery noise on the open manufacturing floor for more than 50% of each working day.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Indoor, controlled temperature environment
Low level of interaction with others - working mostly alone. (Less than 25% of the working day in direct interaction with others)
Telephone and/or computer work comprise at least 50% or more of each working day.
