Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary leader for the role of Medical Director of Integrated Primary Care at Ovatient. Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care through our innovative digital health platform. This unique role offers an exceptional blend of executive leadership, patient care, clinical strategy, quality improvement, and product development in the cutting-edge field of digital healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Leadership and Oversight: To Provide robust clinical guidance and oversight, ensuring that all healthcare services are delivered in accordance with the highest standards and latest evidence-based practices in virtual care. You will also serve as a collaborating and/or supervising physician in partnering with our Advanced Practice Providers.
• Care Delivery: Our Medical Director will lead by example, delivering high-quality virtual care and engaging patients and our care team in providing an exceptional patient experience.
• Care Integration: Lead efforts in integrating primary, behavioral, and specialty care into a cohesive model. This involves not only aligning clinical practices but also fostering a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration and communication across teams at Ovatient and with our health system customers.
• Quality Oversight and Improvement Initiatives: Oversee and develop quality standards, metrics andspearhead initiatives focusing on enhancing patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction. Further refine and implement Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) and ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) for Ovatient providers.
• Staff Development and Mentorship: Provide mentorship and development opportunities for clinical staff, enhancing their skills and fostering a learning environment.
• Operational Coordination: The Medical Director will coordinate with various members of operational leadership to ensure that clinical operations are aligned with the overall organizational objectives.
• Clinical Strategy and Leadership: Drive the strategic direction of our virtual-first primary care offering, ensuring clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
• Clinical Governance: Oversee clinical protocols, adherence to medical standards, and regulations to ensure high-quality care across our primary care offering.

Qualifications:

Medical Qualification: A Medical Degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics. An active and unrestricted medical license is necessary. With support from Ovatient, you will need to obtain state licenses in Ohio and South Carolina.

Experience: Extensive experience in medical leadership with a focus on multispecialty practices. Experience in telemedicine and familiarity with digital health platforms are crucial. Experience with strategic planning, quality improvement, and clinical governance is essential.

Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You should be comfortable leading diverse teams and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Data-driven Approach: Comfort with leveraging data to inform both clinical and strategic decisions.

Person-Centered Philosophy: A strong belief in a person-centered approach to care. You should be passionate about delivering personalized care that considers the holistic needs of each patient.
