OVENELL FARM SERVICES is Hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator Near Quincy, WA

Title: Heavy Equipment Operator (trucks, front-end loaders, screeners, and specialty equipment)

Primary Location: Remote sites between Othello and Tri-Cities.

Immediate Supervisor: Operations Manager


Employment Info:

    *Full-time employment *45-55 hours per week


Compensation:
$19/hr - $24/hr DOE


Benefits:

    * Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance – After 60 days of full-time employment. * Simple IRA- After one full year from the date of hire of uninterrupted employment and exceeding $5,000 gross earnings per year.

Sick Leave:

  • Accrue sick time for every hour worked. Can be used in the case of a family emergency, illness, funeral, etc.

Paid Family & Medical Leave:

    *.4% is withheld from every paycheck & submitted to the state quarterly. *Can be used for pregnancy leave, military-related reasons, lengthy sickness, etc.

Paid Vacation:

  • Accrue vacation hours for every hour worked (starts at 90 days of employment).


Requirements:

    *High school diploma/GED. *3-5 years of experience in similar fields preferred. *Valid driver’s license. *Possess a smartphone (time clock and equipment reporting). *Seasonal time flexibility.

    *Possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. *Be productive and timely. *Be on time and prepared for work. *Communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and respectful manner. *Hold yourself accountable for the quality of your work as well as mistakes made along the way.


Job Description:

    *Abide by all safety procedures, guidelines, and regulations. *Follow startup and shut down protocol as instructed. *Complete daily tasks set by your supervisor. *Operate equipment in a SAFE and appropriate manner. *Clean, maintain, and inspect machinery daily. *Report defects and breakage on equipment. *Coordinate with the maintenance team to resolve issues. *Assist with repairs when required.


Working Conditions:
The applicant must be physically and mentally able to meet the demands of the job while also conducting themselves in a manner that is conducive to the health and safety of themselves and others. Maintenance of equipment often requires getting dirty and working in dusty or wet environments. PPE is provided as needed. We work in all weather conditions unless the safety and productivity of our staff and/or equipment is compromised.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $19.00 - $24.00/hour.
