Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Affordable Housing Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial management, regulatory reporting, and technical accounting. If you possess strong financial acumen and are proficient in tools like YARDI, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory compliance, and budgeting
- Manage financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy in all financial statements
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards
- Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred (experience considered)
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of financial software and systems, including YARDI
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in technical accounting standards and practices
- Excellent analytical skills for financial analysis and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
- Solid understanding of debits, credits, and financial reporting
