Physical Requirements: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Superintendent. Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the job. While performing the responsibilities of the Superintendent, employees are required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, and carry 20 lbs.
Expected Hours of Work: Primarily day shift, but nights and weekends as needed. Occasional overnight travel is required.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT The mission of Overbrook School for the Blind is to develop and deliver education that enhances the options available for persons with visual impairment and other challenges so that they have the greatest opportunity to experience active and fulfilling lives. Educating students ages birth to 21 years of age with blindness or visual impairment, some of whom have multiple challenges. Children ages birth to 3 years are visited in their homes by PA vision certified teachers who are also train ed in early intervention services and orientation and mobility techniques. Children ages 3 to 21 years attend our campus-based programs during the regular school year, and most also come to a 6 week summer program.
