OI develops software and hardware for vertically-integrated mapping systems capable of executing large-scale aerial mapping missions. OI focuses on solutions for resource exploration and mining companies, public utilities, medical delivery companies, government agencies, land development companies, and other entities that rely on up-to-date airborne mapping products. We specialize in the development of Lidar and magnetometer mapping platforms that can generate 3D models of topography, canopy, and other vertical structures. Job Description We are looking for an experienced Computer Engineer to join our team and support our Engineering department. The ideal candidate will support both the Hardware and Software teams with product development. Responsibilities Support hardware and software engineers in product development efforts Manage hardware and software documentation artifacts in Confluence Comprehend current system architecture, including software modules Work with suppliers to integrate components into existing systems Troubleshoot software and hardware-related issues to resolve blockers Stay fluent with the latest technologies and leading industry practices Learn new abilities to assist the team as needed Requirements And Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering In-depth understanding and experience working with ROSS, C , Node.js, Python Hands-on experience with single-board computers (eg. Raspberry Pi, Nvidia Jetson Nano) Ability to integrate various sensors with microcontrollers and edge computers through Node.js and C Familiarity with package-management through Node.js and NPM Familiarity with hardware communication protocols: ETH, CAN, SPI, UART, Serial & I2C General understanding of radio frequencies and software defined radios Knowledgeable of basic circuit design and analysis techniques Experience working with client/server protocol such as DHCP Understanding of embedded systems Familiarity with database concepts Comfortable navigating Linux operating systems Able to work under tight deadlines Able to work in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication Must be organized and able to follow direction Experience with Agile methodologies (plus) Experience with ArduPilot, PX4, Mission Planner or QGroundControl (plus) Familiarity with PCB design (plus) https://www.overheadintel.com/ Pay: 75,000-100,000 Employment Type: Full Time Location: Winter Haven, FL Remote Work: No *College credits not offered*
