The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to contribute significantly to the overall success of the site build, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards. This role will involve creating website-based collaboration system templates to efficiently provide tasks, schedules, tracking, reporting, and deliverables for the other teams involved with constructing or operating the data centers.

Location: This role requires travel up to 25% to Reno, Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada and Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities:

  • Site-Based Leadership: Serve as primary on-site representative, overseeing General Contractors and vendors ensuring swift resolution of any issues.
  • Contract Management: Manage construction contracts and development agreements, ensuring full compliance with commercial terms and conditions.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Oversight: Direct and review civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, controls, and commissioning disciplines across multiple construction sites.
  • Commercial Management: Strategically manage construction contracts, conduct bid analysis, and oversee contract administration to control costs effectively.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, developers, and vendors to ensure efficient project turnovers and seamless operational handovers.
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and dependencies. Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Team Coordination and Documentation: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams. Ensure alignment of project teams, including OFCI Procurement, Internal Cost Controls, and Construction teams.
  • Risk Management: Work directly with multiple teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the design, utilities, security, network, and the construction process.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure construction adheres to industry standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify any deviations from quality requirements.
  • Timeline Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines. Proactively identify and address delays to keep the project on track.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate regular progress reports for executive stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, decisions, and changes.
  • Issue Resolution: Help address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process. Collaborate with relevant teams to find prompt and effective solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains. Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned for future enhancements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 years in construction site management.
  • Experience managing construction contracts and contractors, including commercial contract administration and cost control on large, complex projects.
  • 5 years of experience directly managing full cycle construction and delivery of Data Centers.
  • 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excel, SharePoint, MS Project, Outlook, Smart Sheets, Procore, PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively communicate project plans and updates to team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish and maintain organization while managing multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years in construction site management.
  • Experience leading the management of construction contract packages.
  • Advanced degree or certifications such as PMP or PgMP
  • Knowledge of industry safety and quality standards; familiarity with local safety regulations.
  • Technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering principles relevant to data center construction.
