Owens Corning is Hiring a Reliability Engineer Near Dallas, NC
Reports To : Maintenance Leader
Span of Control : No direct reports
Job Responsibilities
- Drive a zero Environmental Health & Safety incident culture, support and participate in incident investigations to determine root cause and identify preventive actions, and correct unsafe conditions and acts immediately
- Support the facility through a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) operating system targeting:
- Zero injuries
- Zero defects
- Zero losses
- Root Cause Analysis on chronic maintenance and control issues developing solutions, improving reliability and reducing life-cycle cost
- Problem resolution techniques – 5-Why; Ishikawa; etc
- Promoting consistency by standardizing equipment, procedures and operations
- Providing daily support for troubleshooting, planning, and repair
- Training and developing others in reliable concepts and techniques
- Assuring the delivery of reliable equipment from engineering concept to production
- Accomplish other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as asked
- Manages data collection processes and analyzes data acquired from predictive tools measuring vibration, oil/lubrication, thermography, and ultrasound
- Technical and professional knowledge & experience
- Strong Mechanical skills
- Process Control: concepts of variation, SPC, FMEA, and RCFA
- Machine controls experience/knowledge
- Planning and organizing
- Initiative, Teamwork, Independence
- Sense of urgency/responsiveness
- Customer focus, Decision-making
- Building strategic work relationships
- Interpersonal skills, oral and written communication
- Tolerance for stress
- Support the facility with other duties as required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years heavy industrial manufacturing engineering
- Minimum of 3 years predictive/preventive maintenance
- Experience with knowledge of Six Sigma
- Microsoft Software: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Digital Labeling Systems
- SAP and CAD
- Experience with TPM or similar continuous improvement system
- Strong Electrical skills
