Role Description
This is a volunteer internship role for a Director of Community Outreach. The Director will be responsible for community engagement, communication, press releases, community outreach, and budgeting. They will develop and implement community programs and resources tailored to specific groups. The role is hybrid, primarily based in Santa Monica, CA, with some remote work acceptable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead community engagement efforts and build relationships with community members and organizations.
- Develop and implement community programs and resources in collaboration with the candidate and deputy campaign manager.
- Manage communication, including press releases, newsletters, and social media.
- Organize community events and forums.
- Coordinate resources and support for community initiatives.
- Assist in budgeting for outreach activities.
- Provide regular updates on outreach activities and program impact.
Qualifications:
- Experience in community engagement, communication, and press
releases.- Proven ability to develop and manage community programs.
- Knowledge of community outreach strategies.
- Experience in budgeting and financial oversight.
