Assistant Teacher:

Our center located at Elmhurst is looking to hire passionate and engaging individuals to join our program.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that are tailored to toddlers’ developmental needs.
• Monitor and guide toddlers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment, while promoting positive social interactions and behavior.
• Support toddlers’ growth in areas such as language, motor skills, and social skills through hands-on activities and positive reinforcement.
• Help keep the classroom organized and sanitary, including cleaning up after activities and sanitizing toys and surfaces.
• Aid toddlers during mealtimes, support healthy eating habits, and help with feeding if needed.
• Provide regular updates to parents on their child’s progress and behavior, addressing any concerns as they arise.
• Assist in implementing positive discipline strategies and support the lead teacher in managing classroom behavior.
• Set up and clean up materials needed for daily activities and lessons, ensuring everything is organized and ready for use.
• Work closely with the lead teacher to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom, participate in team meetings, and contribute to curriculum development.
• Participate in training opportunities to stay informed about early childhood education best practices.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/ GED required
• ECE coursework preferred
• Teacher Assistant Certificate preferred

Hours:

8:30-5:30 Monday-Friday

Preferred Experience:
- At least 2 years of teaching assistant

Responsibilities:

-Support teacher in classroom

-Monitor student progress and provide feedback for the teachers

-Manage classroom

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
