Oxford Knight is Hiring a FPGA Engineer - New York / Chicago- Multi-Asset Prop Trading Firm Near New York, NY

Location: New York / Chicago

My client, a prop trading firm active across a wide range of asset classes and regions, is looking for highly motivated engineers to join their FPGA team.

This is a pivotal role where you will lead the architecture and hands-on implementation of new FPGA applications, guiding them from concept to completion, as well as upholding the robust performance of current systems. You'll also collaborate with developers and traders to design, implement, and deploy FPGA solutions across the diverse trading businesses.

If you're an experienced FPGA engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, this role would be perfect for you.

Requirements
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from a top-tier university
  • Experience with FPGA/ASIC design and verification
  • Proficiency in design languages: SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL and common FPGA tools
  • Strong foundation in C/C programming
  • Demonstrable capabilities in RTL logic design, verification, and synthesis
  • Expert in FPGA design flow, including place & route, static timing analysis, and system-on-chip (SOC) architectures
  • Knowledge of the TCP/IP stack, on-chip networking applications, and other common networking protocols
For Senior roles: minimum 5 years' experience in FPGA or ASIC digital design, including leadership in software integration efforts.
