Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Equipment Maintenance Planner to join their team. This craft-specific contract position plays a crucial role in managing unplanned work orders and ensuring the seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
As a Fixed Equipment Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for managing unplanned work orders, generating comprehensive job plans, creating job packets for field execution, and continually improving job plans based on feedback. Your role will cover various maintenance areas, including rotating equipment repair, piping fabrication and repair, carpentry, painting, QA/QC, inspection, and more.
Responsibilities

• Manage Unplanned Work Orders:
• Review backlog and planning list and clarify incomplete or poorly defined work notifications.
• Group work orders and/or notifications that can be planned and completed as a single order.
• Complete Job Plans:
• Develop detailed work scopes and job step sequences.
• Estimate labor and plan for job execution.
• Create bills of materials and arrange for contract services, external resources, parts, special tools, and equipment.
• Create Job Packets:
• Compile job plans and technical documentation (photos, drawings, technical specifications, etc.).
• Support Maintenance Operations:
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Specialist with emergency or critical priority jobs.
• Optimize spare parts inventory.
• Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BoMs).
• Maintain Task Lists:
• Build and update task lists (job plan library) for recurring jobs.
• Ensure necessary changes or improvements are incorporated and efficiencies are captured from job feedback forms.

• Proven experience in maintenance planning, specifically in the areas mentioned.
• Strong understanding of maintenance processes and procedures.
