Contract to hire opening with our retail client for an IT Support Specilist to work as part of a Loss Prevention Team. The ideal candidate will have a help desk or simlar IT support background.

Overview of Duties

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and upkeep of loss prevention systems including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and related hardware/software.
• Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for loss prevention technologies, addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Manage and resolve support tickets through our ticketing platform, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.
• Track and coordinate the progress of new store installations, ensuring that loss prevention systems are deployed effectively and on schedule.
• Monitor and maintain data integrity related to loss prevention, including system logs and performance metrics.
• Work closely with store managers, security teams, and IT colleagues to address system needs and improve overall loss prevention strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and installation processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in IT support with a focus on operations or ticketing platforms. Prior experience in retail environments or with loss prevention systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software related to loss prevention.
• Proficiency with ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and experience with surveillance and access control systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members, store personnel, and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, track project progress, and meet deadlines.
