What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Registration Clerk position at Ozarks Healthcare?
Responsible for facilitating the concerted efforts of the assigned team to achieve and sustain desirable levels of internal and external customer service, regulatory compliance and financial performance with the department. The team leader works in an integrated, harmonious manner with the team. Serves as a mentor and role model for fellow members through demonstration of an outstanding work ethic, superior technical knowledge, and concern for the values and mission of Ozarks Healthcare.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook

Completes all functions associated with the Registration Clerk roles

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associates and/or additional college preferred.
- Work experience could be equivalent to college.
- REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1-year in revenue cycle in healthcare, or medical insurance.
- Ability to evaluate and update payer contracts and fee schedules within a client’s billing software system
- Capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner
- Working knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, physician referral and authorization process.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal ï‚

- Pull productivity and cash collection reporting for all Registration Clerks
- Complete weekly and monthly audit, and daily deposit audits.
- Present on training/discussion topics to the Registration Clerks in weekly staff meetings.
- Provide training support to new employees
- Assistance with process creation and implementation
- Assist managers as needed with the onboarding process for new clients
- Address and resolve account escalations
- Field basic-intermediate questions from co-workers
- Work with all Registration Clerks to ensure timely completion of month end tasks
- Update patient insurance information, and provide registration duties on a fill in basis.
- Responsible for staff scheduling and department coverage. Will participate in on call schedule- weekly rotation.
