ICU Medical Director
Overview
Join our client as an ICU Medical Director in a 277-bed community hospital located in Troy, NY, as an experienced and dynamic ICU Medical Director. Our hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including inpatient and outpatient care, emergency services, critical care, ambulatory surgery, cancer services, behavioral health services, and cardiac catheterization. In 2018, we completed a major construction project to modernize our facilities, which included the addition of a new patient pavilion with an expanded emergency department, ICU, PCU, Med/Surg units, and a new parking garage.
Key Responsibilities
As the ICU Medical Director, you will:
- Provide Leadership to the ICU Team: Guide and mentor the ICU team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Ensure Quality Patient Care in the ICU: Oversee clinical practices, implement evidence-based protocols, and monitor patient outcomes to ensure exceptional care.
- Administrative Responsibilities: Implement workflow processes, determine and track quality metrics, and participate in strategic planning to enhance ICU operations.
Schedule and Shift Details
- Full-time Role with Call Rotation: One week per month dedicated to ICU duties and one week per month to pulmonary consults.
- Office Schedule: Two weeks per month spent in the office.
- Weekend Coverage: Required once every 4 or 5 weeks.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $400,000-$425,000 with incentives. This range reflects the starting total compensation and excludes productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift incentives, and other cash compensation forms.
- Additional Compensation: Includes administrative stipend, CME allowance, and other benefits provided by the medical group employer.
- Relocation Assistance: Available if applicable.
- Starting Bonus: Negotiable.
Qualifications
- Board-certified in Critical Care Medicine.
- Proven leadership experience in an ICU setting.
- Strong commitment to patient care and quality improvement.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- NY license
