Job DescriptionGENERAL JOB FUNCTION
As a key part of our team, you will support our manufacturing facility in meeting quality standards according to company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Your role includes overseeing the implementation and maintenance of food safety and sanitation programs to ensure continued quality improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Total Quality Department to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications, maximizing revenue.
- Provide a safe working environment for department employees through training and supervision.
- Foster collaboration with other department managers to achieve plant goals.
- Ensure suppliers' products meet company standards.
- Review specifications for accuracy and resolve issues to meet processing requirements.
- Participate in food safety meetings and audits, adhering to regulations.
- Interact with regulatory officials and conduct process experiments.
- Assist in customer-related issues and product recalls.
- Maintain records of department activities and ensure compliance with quality policies and safety standards.
- Conduct monthly safety and quality sessions as required, enforcing safety regulations.
- Bachelor/Masters Degree in Food Science/Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment required, with 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in bakery or food/beverage manufacturing is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record in leading QA/QC teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory inspectors like USDA, OSHA, BRC, NSF, and health departments.
- Ability to build and mentor high-performance teams committed to quality.
