Job Summary

Pacific Channel Transportation is seeking a CDL-A Driver. This role involves the timely pickup, labeling, and delivery of shipments within a 200 mile radius of Kent, WA.

This route has 3 stops and runs through Pasco, Union Gap and Yakima.

Duties and responsibilities

• Ability to work NIGHTSHIFT Monday to Friday 4 : 30pm-2 : 00am
• Touch freight must be able to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
• Home every night.
• MUST have minimum 2 years of CDL-A experience.
• MUST have experience driving in snow and over mountain passes.
• Doubles / Triples endorsement is preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT mountain pass regulations.
• Ability to operate a forklift and / or pallet jack.
• Drivers will be required to interact with customers, warehouse leaders and associates, and store leader and associates.
• Drivers will also be expected to update orders via a handheld device.
• Drive a CDL Class A vehicle on local routes.
• Communicate delivery updates to customers.
• Any additional duties as assigned.
• Climb in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping and climbing.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Valid, active Class A Driver's License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background.
• 2-years of CDL Class A Driving Experience.
• Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen.
• As a CDL Class A Driver, you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the commitment to succeed.
• Qualified candidates are self-motivated, responsible, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment all with a positive attitude.
