About Neurodevelopmental Services

Our unique Neurodevelopmental Center offers group services for children and adolescents with autism, and other neurodevelopmental challenges that are not available anywhere else! Our ABA model is inclusive of play-based, compassionate, naturalistic teaching approaches. We provide 1:1 aides for clients who need more support to participate in our therapeutic learning groups, and we offer intensive parent training groups.

We focus on the core challenges clients face that impact their daily functioning and quality of life. We provide therapy to enhance skills such as social connection, emotional regulation, communication, daily living, and sensory development to promote independence and self-determination.

Our Clinical Model:

Our unique center-based group model is not only beneficial for clients. Behavior technicians benefit greatly by being surrounded by their peers, supervisors, and trainers throughout the day. Supervision and training is provided by onsite speech therapists, behavior analysts, psychologists, and occupational therapists. Our clinical model stems from the latest autism research emphasizing the (1) Importance of early intervention and socialization for autistic children, (2) Parent support and training, and (3) Teaching curriculums that focus on functional skills to enhance the quality of life to all our clients.

JOB SUMMARY

Works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency. Under the direct supervision of clinical program management team, naturalistic developmental and behavioral interventions such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), positive behavior supports, and intervention strategies to individuals with neurodevelopmental challenges, such as autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, and/or other neurobehavioral health diagnoses. Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary experts in the field to implement clinical treatment and behavior support plans to children and families.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Under supervision of the multidisciplinary clinical program management team (e.g., BCBA, SLP, LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Behavior Program Coordinator), provide group ABA services to assigned clients across a variety of treatment modalities (e.g., DTT, PRT, NET, JASPER, NDBIs, etc).

2. Occasional direct individual ABA services to assigned clients across a variety of treatment modalities (e.g., DTT, PRT, NET, JASPER, NDIBIs, etc), under supervision of the multidisciplinary clinical program management team (e.g., BCBA, SLP, LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Behavior Program Coordinator).

3. Integrate feedback from clinical supervisors to deliver effective quality clinical services that meet fidelity measures of implementation.

4. Record data, including video, for all treatment goals utilizing electronic data collection systems (e.g., Catalyst) to support client outcomes and ensure staff treatment fidelity.

5. Model, teach, reinforce, and implement behavioral interventions and skill development plans with individuals, caregivers, and support network.

6. Assist supervisors with plan development (e.g., report development, progress summary) and assessment tasks.

7. Assist teams in developing program materials (e.g., lesson plans, visual schedules, social stories, etc.) to develop individualized, strength-based strategies and interventions that will result in positive behavior change.

8. Actively participate in supervision, team meetings, in-service, client progress meetings, and other key meetings as assigned.

9. Proactively identify potential conflicts; clearly communicate with clinical supervisor on client-related services (e.g., barriers to implementation, lack of caregiver participation, etc.) within 24 hours.

10. Ensure effective coordination of services for individuals and caregivers with other providers, both internal and external, by supporting the development of constructive relationships and problem-solving barriers.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

* High School Degree

* Registered Behavior Technician certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board preferred.

* Ability to speak, write, or read other languages preferred.

Licensing/Certification Requirements

* Must pass First Aid/CPR Certification

* Must pass Registered Behavior Technician certification.

* Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Child Abuse Index Check (CAIC) background clearance.

* Valid California Driver's license with two years' experience driving and clean driving record may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must remain physically fit enough to keep clients self-safe. While performing these duties the employee is required to perform the following physical tasks when the need arises:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. This also includes the ability to:

* Move quickly/run

* Drive a car.

If employed at a Neurodevelopment Services location, employee is required to perform and pass a Human Performance Evaluation Test at a designated company clinic. This will include testing for: lifting, pushing/pulling, repetitive coupling, static weight, and other required movements. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
