Job Title: Deputy Director of Social Enterprise Programs

Department: Administration

Reports To: Executive Director

***MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE ON OAHU, LOCAL RESIDENTS ONLY***

Position Summary: The Deputy Director of Social Enterprise Programs is responsible for the overall functioning of Pacific Gateway Center’s (PGC) programs including: Culinary Business Incubator (CBI), Farm, Na Kupuna Makamae (NKMC), and the Hawaii Language Bank (HLB), while providing technical assistance (TA) to PGC’s clients. The Deputy Director’s responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve departmental financial targets.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

· Manages and oversees the sales operations in the different departments.

· Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets within the various departments.

· Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.

· Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.

· Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.

· Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.

· Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.

· Responsible for ongoing program management to ensure that desired program outcomes and objectives are delivered.

· Develop key performance indices and objective performance measurements across all programs.

· Administer best practices in program efficiency and successful results for clients.

· Actively network and build partnerships with various stakeholders and funding agencies.

· Fully understand all components of TA. Ensure full compliance with deliverables and that all project milestones are met.

· Coordinate work with all program referral partner agencies and technical assistants.

· Assist clients with access to funding through KIVA microloans.

Education and experience requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree required.

● 5 years small business start-up experience. 

● Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.

● Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager, or sales director.

● Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.

● Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.

● Demonstratable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions.

● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

● Experience in business plan writing, reviewing, establishing project milestones and work plans, project monitoring and evaluations.

Compensation, Work Location, Hours & Benefits: 

● $80,000 - $85,000 annually 

● Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm
