We’re actively seeking a talented Senior RFP Specialist to join our team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha NE. This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.
As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and responding to Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, Due Diligence, and Annual Business Meeting requests. Additionally, you’ll manage the RFP Database by inputting, exporting, and maintaining current content in the library. Collaborating closely with the DB, DCLI, National Markets, Marketing, and other key internal stakeholders, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping and conveying the Pacific Life story to external parties.

We’re actively seeking a talented Senior RFP Specialist to join our team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha NE. This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.
As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and responding to Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, Due Diligence, and Annual Business Meeting requests. Additionally, you’ll manage the RFP Database by inputting, exporting, and maintaining current content in the library. Collaborating closely with the DB, DCLI, National Markets, Marketing, and other key internal stakeholders, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping and conveying the Pacific Life story to external parties.
How You'll Help Move Us Forward
- Oversee the and manage the RFP, RFI, Due Diligence and Annual Meetings requests (40%).
- Set and maintain the deliverable timeframe for RFP/RFI requests.
- Work with key internal stakeholders in gathering the responses to the RFP/RFI requests.
- Ensure the proposals provided are in response to the RFP questions and fulfills the stated requirements.
- Ensure all compliance rules are reflected in the responses to the request.
- Compile and prepare the final RFP packet for the RFP owner.
- Database Ownership (40%).
- Own the Qvidian relationship with the vendor.
- Attend training sessions and work with the Qvidian relationship manager.
- Maintain and ensure that the RFP Database, Qvidian is accurate, up to date and current.
- Enter and upload RFP responses into the Qvidian library.
- Continually look for and implement process efficiencies and streamline the RFP process from receipt of RFP to finalizing the RFP packet for external distribution.
- Assist and contribute to ad hoc projects as assigned by Manager, Director, Sr. Director or VP. (20%)
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance or related field.
- 5 years experience with Pension Risk Transfer and DCLI including sales, quoting, legal document review and relationship building/marketing (preferred).
- 5 years experience in the insurance industry (preferred).
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Computer proficient in Excel and MS Word, Qvidian, Salesforce.
- Strong data and project management experience
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Able to meet timelines and deliverables
- Detail oriented and can multi-task
- Knowledge of defined benefit and defined contribution plans
- Training and understanding of the Qvidian database
