Pacific Metal Company is Hiring a Sales Assistant/Administrative Assistant Near Tualatin, OR

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Assistant/Administration Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide crucial support to our sales/admin team and contribute to the overall success of the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers.
  • Ability to quote price and availability to customers.
  • Effectively relate credit terms and conditions to customers.
  • Work efficiently with operations team to relate delivery dates to customers.
  • Support territory managers with follow ups, out calls, quotes, and customer inventory requests.
  • Work with sales associates to create key account strategies.
  • Acquire new accounts.
  • Assist in buyouts to procure product.
  • Expedite customer orders and shipments when requested.
  • Invoicing, updating receivers, inventory cycles, MTR’s and month end duties.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (non-essential, i.e. backup duties)

  • Miscellaneous office duties (directing walk-in customers, answering phones and filing)
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist other departments as needed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Detail oriented, well organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Able to learn quickly.
  • Self-starter who works equally well individually and in a team environment
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to quick changing business priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multi-tasker
  • Excellent time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
