Job description: Lab Assistant for an Environmental Air Quality Laboratory

Our company, a leading environmental services provider, is seeking a highly motivated Lab Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a lab assistant, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the laboratory team by conducting experiments and tests, collecting and analyzing data, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments and tests to support scientific research initiatives
• Prepare and process samples for laboratory analysis, maintaining accurate records at all times
• Collect and analyze data, and prepare reports summarizing findings
• Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and protocols, ensuring the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, and order new supplies as required
• Collaborate with the laboratory team on research projects, sharing findings and insights as required

Requirements

• At least a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field, advanced degree preferred
• Previous experience working in a laboratory environment
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend shifts as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
