Position Type: PT Hourly (25-30 Hours a week)
Reports To: Associate Director of Student Life School Summary: Pacifica Christian High School is a private college prep school located in Newport Beach, CA. At Pacifica Christian High School, we teach our students to think and live well. We do this by providing a rigorous, college-preparatory, liberal arts education for students from all backgrounds and neighborhoods. Specifically, to student life, we do this by creating a school environment and culture that fosters meaningful relationships and unity amongst the student body and develops each student into the individual God intends.
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Student Life Coordinator is to assist in managing the operations of Pacifica Christians' Student Life Department, helping develop, organize, coordinate, oversee, and promote all student life-related activities.
Job Requirements & Primary ResponsibilitiesDaily/Weekly Duties include but are not limited to:
- Attend Associate Student (AS) meetings during the week (2x a week) when applicable
- Oversee and attend specific Student life-related activities (not including athletics)
- Attend select home & away sporting events to help promote school spirit, good sportsmanship, fair play, and a Christ-centered environment within the student body and student section.
- Maintain facilities and student life equipment to appropriate standards
- Attend meetings, when necessary, with the Associate Director of Student Life
- Attend Student Life activities taking place each week
- Assist in scheduling, planning, and overseeing the execution of student life activities
- Update student life boards when applicable. (MyPacifica, Student Life Email, etc)
- Communicate student-life events with parents, teachers, faculty, and staff when necessary
- Help coordinate and attend AS student leadership retreat in early August.
- Help coordinate and attend All School Retreat in September
- Help Oversee Clubs, Service Learning, and ASM (All School Meetings)
- Perform any administrative tasks relevant to student life or given by the Associate Director of Student Life
- Confirm student life events planned week to week
