La Colina Apartments is actively searching for a professional, hands-on General Maintenance Painter/Drywall/Maintenance to join the Team. This job position is responsible for the painting/drywall/maintenance duties at the property.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Communicate effectively with on-site staff.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Carry equipment.
• Ensure each day’s activities and problems that occur are communicated to the Resident Manager using approved communication programs and standards.
• Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
• Safely perform painting, drywall, stucco repair, and maintenance tasks as directed by the Resident Manager, ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and local and National codes.
• Assist other maintenance staff with maintenance issues as directed by the Resident Manager.
• Clean, straighten and maintain pool area including bathrooms.
• Clean and maintain trash enclosure areas.
• Ability to use a computer to log in hours each day including breaks.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Knowledge/Education/Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience. Basic Plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting. Proper tool and chemical use.
• Property Management experience preferred
• Experience in all phases of maintenance

Physical Requirements: Frequent walking indoors/outdoors, climbing stairs and ladders, standing, sitting. Repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crawling, squatting, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below should level. Must have the ability to push, pull, lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

Travel up to 25 miles.
