Packer Fastener is Hiring a Contractor Sales- Minneapolis Territory Near Mendota, MN
We are looking to add to our Contractor Sales team! As a Contractors sales rep you will develop, service, and expand relationships with current and prospective contractor customers in our Minneapolis territory using multiple techniques including regular sales calls, cold-calling, industry networking, customer recommendations, etc. to drive aggressive closure of all available opportunities. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to obtain coverage through company's auto insurance carrier according to company Driver Safety Policy. In The Contractor Sales Role You Will
Develop, service, and expand relationships with current and prospective customers using Packer Fastener value-add programs (e.g., VMI, Vending, Kitting/Fab) to increase market share and profitability within contractor market.
Meet KPI goals in sales calls, sales revenue, gross profit %, quotes, pricing structure followed %.
Make jobsite calls to potential and existing customers (within territory and outside territory, if necessary, based on current customer jobsite locations) to qualify leads and sell products and services.
Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers.
Log all sales calls on a consistent basis.
Identify revenue and profit growth opportunities; keeps pulse of jobsite development in territory.
Work with Branch Manager and Contractor Sales Manager to grow contractor sales and develop strategic plans and accurate forecasts for assigned accounts using previous sales, industry, and market data.
Actively participates in sales meetings.

Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
1 to 2 years of construction or contractor field experience preferred.
A strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell.
Knowledge of product lines and pricing structure.
Basic math skills with the ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think critically and solve practical problems.
Ability to be a self-starter, handle multiple priorities with high attention to detail, and strong time management skills.
The ability to lift, slide, and lower packages that typically weight 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs.
Proficient in common computer software including Microsoft Office and database software.
