Position: Medical Records Director
Location: Sacramento, CA
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of all medical records in accordance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of medical records through proper documentation practices.
- Supervise and train staff members responsible for medical records maintenance and retrieval.
- Implement and maintain electronic health record systems and other technology solutions for efficient record-keeping.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrators, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with record-keeping standards and protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical records management, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility setting.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and healthcare documentation standards.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical records software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
