Maintain The Padre Hotel standards of cleanliness in an efficient professional manner and contribute to an excellent guest experience. Front Desk Supervisor’s must follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Lead the front desk agents on duty in time management, effectiveness, and help them resolve any guest or employee related issues
- Report any HR issues to hotel management accordingly
- Help manage the front desk schedule and, when requested to do so, create a draft front desk schedule for management to approve
- Resolve any guest related issues to best of their capacity- immediately report any irresolvable issues to hotel management
- Provide guidance to front desk agents and help train on a continuing basis as procedures are modified or created
- Monitor completion of daily tasks assigned to front desk agents, assist them in completion if necessary
- Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
- Ensure that any outstanding requests or problems from the previous day receive priority and are resolved.
- Identify and explain room features to guests; supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest.
- Process all guest requests and relay messages.
- Activate and file room keys.
- Verify and adjust billing to guest folios when needed
- Secure payment from guests
- Accept and record wake-up call requests and deliver to appropriate department.
- Count bank at beginning and end of shift; secure bank.
- Process all payment types, adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges; provide change.
- Answer phone calls and assist guests with a variety of requests
- Create, modify, and cancel reservations upon confirmation with a guest
- Other duties may be assigned by the Hotel Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager and General Manager

to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.**
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Able to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with customers and employees. Strong verbal communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods and seasons.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time.
- Technical knowledge of maintenance equipment and cleaning supplies
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION
High School graduate or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE
Previous Secretarial, Guest Service or Hospitality experience preferred but not required
