PAIN CARE is Hiring a Medical Assistant (with IV skills) PART TIME Near Stockbridge, GA

**This is for the Stockbridge & Griffin ASCs**

POSITION SUMMARY

**Must be willing to travel between Stockbridge and Griffin as needed.**
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running smoothly. Additional responsibilities will include coordinating clinic patient flow, patient workups, exam room prep, performing basic patient care activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean
  • Collect laboratory specimens, log the specimens
  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients
  • Perform general office duties
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies
  • Provider presentation
  • Pre-Op Charting with consents
  • Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments or materials or performing such tasks as giving injections
  • Secure patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing Medication Reconciliation, and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential
  • Assist in training new Medical Assistant staff
  • Exercises safe patient handling
  • Is certified to start patient IVs
  • Operate C ARM (if applicable)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Possess an ability to function in a high stress, physically demanding setting
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.)
  • Exemplary customer service experience including client relationships and job knowledge
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise manual dexterity, control precision and arm-hand steadiness accurately
  • Ability to be empathetic with patients; ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
