Palm Bay International (www.palmbay.com) is looking for an experienced, dynamic, forward-thinking individual who is a senior executive with multiple years’ experience working in the wine industry, developing brands and expanding market knowledge. We are seeking someone who is a calculated-risk taker, comfortable with making decisions, leading a team, and providing our internal and external stakeholders with strategic information on how to grow our brands and take them to the next level!

This role is the market expert leader when it comes to marketing principles, strategies and techniques. It requires someone who has demonstrated a strong record of success in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives within the wine industry. The Vice President, Marketing and Brand Development is well-versed in areas such as innovation, market research, consumer behavior, branding, advertising, and social and digital marketing. The role entails the development and execution of strategic marketing plans for 50 wine brands as well as drive innovation with a stream of new brand launches. Experience in overseeing a budget greater than $15 million and building on important relationships with suppliers, press, and other stakeholders is a must.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Lead the marketing team in executing integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, events, and traditional marketing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between marketing strategies and overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences within the wine industry.
  • Manage marketing budget effectively, ensuring ROI on marketing investments.
  • Oversee product marketing efforts, including new product launches, packaging design, and pricing strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, influencers, and media partners.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in the market.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing roles within the wine industry; 5 years as a Marketing Director
  • High level of comfort with Business Intelligence tools such as Nielsen and Cognos
  • High level of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel in particular
  • Proven track record of leading successful marketing campaigns and initiatives that have driven business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the wine market landscape, consumer behavior, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of marketing professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Passion for wine and a deep appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship of winemaking.
