JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs responsible managerial and supervisory work in the overall direction of Palm Tran's vehicle and facility maintenance. Plans the procurement and delivery of parts, supplies, fuels and equipment necessary for the maintenance and repair of all revenue and non-revenue vehicles. Responsible for managing and scheduling bus repairs; implements and monitors a preventive maintenance program; develops testing and implements retrofit repair programs and budgeting for staff, shop equipment, parts and materials. Work will involve allocating and scheduling personnel to provide the highest level of productivity and the provision of safe and reliable buses to meet service demands. Reports to and is supervised by the Director of Operations, Palm Tran.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Technology, Automotive/mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, Design or related field; minimum of three (3) years experience in a mass transit or heavy equipment management environment. Equivalency: Related Associate's Degree and five (5) years of related experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday; will be required to work during emergencies; may be required to evenings/weekends.
Other: Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
