Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounting Operations Specialist. The Accounting Operations Specialist will be responsible for performing day-to-day financial tasks, including analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements, and creating journal entries. The role will require strong analytical skills and effective communication with team members and clients. This position is located in Lexington, SC.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and preparing payments
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with accounting principles and company policies
• Track and analyze job costs to ensure accuracy and completeness of project expenses
• Prepare job cost reports and variance analysis to monitor project performance and profitability
• Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely recording of project expenses
• Assist with the development and implementation of cost control measures to optimize project profitability
• Source and purchase raw and finish materials from suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, materials usage, and purchasing transactions using inventory management software
• Review purchase orders and contracts for accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures

• Experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements
• Proficiency in creating Journal Entries (Accounting)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
