Palmetto State Armory L is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Lexington, KY
JOB PURPOSE |
The primary role for the Inspector- Document Control is to create certification packages for customers. Review incoming certifications from vendor for accuracy and completeness. Contact vendors to correct any issues before the product is released to production.
The secondary role is to inspect product for visual defects and collect samples for CMM inspection. Notify production supervisor of any quality issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Create Certificate of Conformance document packages for customers.
- Review vendor certification and file after acceptance.
- Contact vendors for certification corrections as needed.
- Inspect and approve in-process production.
- Perform first piece inspection for start-up.
QUALIFICATIONS |
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiar with reading prints and standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Visual attention to detail.
- CMM inspection.
- Knowledge of PC-DMIS software.
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS |
- The ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
