Support EngineerWe are currently seeking an energetic and talented Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will manage IT support for a multi-location, local client. You will field the initial incoming support requests and be the one to resolve the issue. This role could require everything from basic end-user support to coordinating with 3rd parties to resolve issues with interfaces between disparate systems. You will be solving issues both remote and on-site as needed.
Your day to day:
- Field incoming IT support requests via both telephone and email in a courteous manner
- Ticket prioritization / time management
- Provide Level 1 & 2 Desktop / Server support
- Troubleshoot a wide range of hardware/software issues
- Utilize ticketing system/CRM & documentation platforms to maximum efficiency
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of work performed
- Adhere to Trace Advisors company policies and best practices
- Other duties as assigned
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, SMTP, etc.)
- Basic knowledge & experience working with Active Directory and Office 365 admin
- Create and manage technical documentation for Standard Operating Procedures
- Able to lift 75 pounds (Servers, Computers, Network Hardware, Cabling, etc.)
- Ability to work independently within a team-based environment
- Personal transportation and valid license required
