Program Coordinator - Acute | Palms Behavioral Health | Harlingen, Texas About the Job:The Program Coordinator is responsible for the delivery and implementation of behavioral health or recovery programs within a facility. Roles and Responsibilities:
Provides patient care to include coordinating activities, providing companionship and assisting with patient’s basic daily needs (dressing, bathing, eating).
Collaborates with treatment team members to assist patients meet their treatment and/or care goals.
May serve as a co-lead for groups.
Coordinates with other staff to ensure all designated services are received.
Monitors the daily well-being of patients and identifies need for social intervention.
Applies de-escalation techniques to help manage patient’s emotions, behavior and participation in treatment and assists with seclusion and restraints when necessary.
Ensure all documentation regarding the program, such as care, treatment or incidents, is completed in a clear, concise, professional and completed in a timely manner.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field preferred.
One or more years previous experience in behavioral health with population of the facility preferred.
Certification in specialty of program preferred.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
