As a Physical Therapist with Palms Care Center, you will perform and document an initial exam on every incoming patient in order to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention. You will also identify and document goals as well as anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.

Responsibilities:

• Testing and measuring patients strength, motor development and function, sensory perception, functional capacity and respiratory and circulatory efficiency
• Planning, preparing and carrying out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning
• Instructing patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home
• Attending staff meetings and facility meetings
• Participating in continuing education classes

Requirements:

Additional requirements include:

• Possessing a Physical Therapy degree and license in the state of Florida
• Being certified in CPR
• Being physically able to assist individuals
• Familiarity with NetHealth (documentation) and Point Click Care
• Possessing strong listening, speaking, critical thinking and reading comprehension skills
• Being socially perceptive
• Strong time-management skills
