Responsibilities:

• Obtain vital signs (temperature, heart rate, pulse ox, blood pressure, and weight)
• Insert saline/heparin locks
• Insert and irrigate urinary catheters
• Perform basic and advance cardiac life support
• Apply sterile dressings, removing sutures or staples
• Assist with pelvic examination
• Perform EKGs
• Cleanse and irrigate wounds
• Administer oral medications
• Apply splints (i.e. volar, thumb Spica, ulnar gutter, posterior leg splints)
• Initiate routine lab tests after consultation with provider
• Swab mucous membranes for culture specimens
• Administer and read TB skin tests
• Perform venipuncture
• Administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, intradermal medications
• Remain flexible for cross terining
• Occasionally take on tasks outside the normal scope of practice
• Observe, identify, and do what is needed to move us forward in a way that best represents who we are as an organization
• Other duties as needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our Organization's Values

Position Details:

• Work Schedule: Full-time, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends
• Compensation: Starting at $20 per hour, depending on experience

Training and Onboarding:

All newly hired employees are required to complete a 4-day training session in Texarkana, TX as part of their onboarding process.
