Pan American International HS (PAIHS) is currently seeking 9-12 grade Computer Science teacher applications. About Our School

At PAIHS, we serve a population of recently arrived, multilingual language learners from Spanish speaking countries. We are a NYC public school affiliated with the Internationals Network for Public Schools. In our collaborative, project based school, we support our staff in developing language and content knowledge. We are located in Elmhurst, Queens where most of our students are from the surrounding community. We have a newly built playground, multipurpose space, and a completed library that students and staff use to support their in class learning experiences. We received the distinguished designation of a Respect For All School for the 2022 and 2023 school year. We also have amazing partnerships with local Community Based Organizations which support our mission and vision. We are currently accepting applications for a Computer Science teacher. We are seeking candidates who are able to develop authentic and culturally relevant curricula, are compassionate towards the needs of newly arrived students, and understand how to scaffold instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Certification is preferred and all non certified candidates must have their substitute teaching license(or be interested in obtaining it) and be actively working towards completion of their teaching license.

Salary range shown is according to the NYCPS/UFT contract for 1st year fully certified teachers. Salary and benefits are as per NYCPS/UFT contract.
