National Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

National Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Panera Bread is a specialty concept with unparalleled people and quality products offering careers as diverse as our breads. Panera Bread is actively seeking a FDF National Mechanic. This person will provide hands-on mechanical support and knowledge to the FDF’s to help ensure equipment is operational, properly maintained and meeting safety standards.

Accountabilities:

• Travel to the FDF’s and assist FDF Maintenance Personnel with major equipment installations and emergency repairs to minimize downtime
• Rebuild equipment to extend life of asset
• To work in a manor which is safe, clean and well organized
• To execute and complete corporate FDF Preventative Maintenance programs in those facilities that are not large enough to support a permanent mechanic.
• To assist in the establishment of and to monitor and maintain critical spare parts and equipment for the FDF business
• To provide feedback for ongoing reviews of existing Maintenance personnel
• To follow schedule performing rebuilds and completing all required paperwork to track costs and manage inventory

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of direct hands on experience as a mechanic in a fresh or frozen dough-manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of motor controls, electronics, welding, plumbing
• HVAC certification and experience working with commercial refrigeration
• Experience using hand tools, reading and following mechanical drawings and manuals
• Experience rebuilding equipment
• Ability to follow project timelines and budgets
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing production process equipment such as molders, rounders, dividers etc
• Ability to travel at least 75% of the time
• Able to communicate in a professional manner with all customers and fellow associates
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment
• Good problem solving and organizational skills
• Can work independently and be a self-motivator
