Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Stage Manager with carpentry skills to join our team at Pangaea Studios. The ideal candidate will support film productions by managing set operations and utilizing carpentry skills to build and modify set pieces as required. You will also be making necessary repairs to damage around the campus. This role combines organizational prowess with technical carpentry expertise to ensure that our sets are both functional and safe. Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between the production crew and studio facilities.
Manage the day-to-day operations on set, ensuring all production needs are met.
Coordinate the scheduling and use of studio space and resources.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of sets, managing props and equipment.
Use carpentry skills to construct new set pieces and modify existing structures
Make any repairs that the studio requires.
Ensure compliance with studio policies and safety protocols, particularly in construction and set modification.
Handle any immediate maintenance or logistical issues that arise on set.
Provide support to the director, producers, and other crew members to facilitate efficient production workflow.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Stage Manager or similar role in film or television production, with a strong background in carpentry.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Familiarity with the technical aspects of film production, set operations, and construction.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by production schedules.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of industry-standard software and production equipment.
Experience in handling logistics and coordination on a large scale.
