Worker’s Compensation Paralegal

Join our client's team of experienced and highly respected attorneys in a supportive and collaborative environment! We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Paralegal to join the Worker's Compensation group. This is a great opportunity to work with some of the best attorneys in the field and learn from the best!

Responsibilities will include:

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of Worker's Compensation cases, including discovery, research, drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing for trial
• Summarize medical records and other complex documents
• Manage and organize case files electronically
• Use timekeeping software to capture billable hours
• Assist with case management using Summation
• Provide administrative support to attorneys

Qualifications:

• 2 years of Paralegal experience, ideally in a defense litigation firm, but plaintiff experience is considered
• Paralegal certification not required, but desired
• Experience summarizing medical records
• Experience working on medical malpractice or worker's compensation cases preferred
• Experience capturing billable hours using timekeeping software
• Ability to catalog documents electronically and search electronic files in a document management system specific to a legal practice
• Case management knowledge using Summation
• Novice to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to type 60 WPM
