The Role 

The Contact Lens Assistant will contribute to the fulfillment of Panorama Eyecare’s mission statement by providing quality patient care within a designated and approved schedule in addition to providing administrative support to the department with regard to ordering, receiving, dispensing, and general record keeping for the products used by the department.

• Provides contact lens trainings to patients who have not worn contacts. 
• Determines appropriate lens type, parameters, and materials. 
• Maintains trial lens inventories to optimal levels. 
• Provides exemplary patient service at all times. 
• Schedules appointments for the department as necessary. 
• Answers general questions for patients with regard to the lenses available. 
• Verifies patient billing information. 
• Transcribes physician notes to CL Rx form for patients. 
• Triages all phone calls for the contact lens department. 
• Processes re-orders and new orders for patients and provides follow-up communication on status of order. 
• Processes e-mail and online orders for contacts. 
• Verifies quality and quantity of goods received from vendors and resolves disputes timely and effectively. 

Requirements

Who You Are 

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• AAS degree in related subjects or previous experience as contact lens technician is preferred. 
• COA, COT, COMT, ABO preferred.

Additional Job Details 

• Works at our clinic location, Eye Center of Northern Colorado - Prospect.
• This is a Full-Time Position. 
• Compensation for this role will be $18 - $21 an hour based on experience/certification.
