Pansophic Learning is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the national expansion of our K-12 public charter schools. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally talented individual with experience in a multi-subsidiary, high growth organization to fill this critical role. This position is responsible for all daily and monthly close accounting operations including the accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of multiple schools. **This role is based in our McLean, VA headquarters and operates on a hybrid work schedule**
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support all general ledger tasks including monthly close and journal entries for multiple ledgers
• Perform monthly reconciliations for multiple legal entities of sub ledgers/calculated schedules against ledger and assess for reasonableness of ending balances
• Lead revenue and deferred revenue reconciliations and analysis
• Assist with preparation of financial statements
• Perform variance analyses for financial statements and explain fluctuations from month to month, year over year, and against plan
• Prepare intercompany reconciliations
• Identify possible efficiencies in existing processes and propose solutions
• Participation in implementing process improvements
• Support various Accounting projects
• Assist with Accounting onboarding of new acquisitions
• Assist in training junior staff
• Supervise two direct reports
• Ability to analyze and validate financial statements
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5 Years of accounting experience
• Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of and proficiency in an ERP system
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships with all levels
• Ability to perform highly detailed work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
• Demonstrated history of problem solving
• Ability to work both independently and within a team for a dynamic, growing company
