DHA Overview

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and a ready medical force to Combatant Commands during peacetime and wartime. Established to enhance the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services, the DHA supports Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and drives the integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The agency plays a pivotal role in ensuring military personnel and their families receive comprehensive healthcare, thus maintaining operational readiness and overall force health protection

Position Overview

The Senior Acquisition Analyst will be responsible for working with stakeholders and programs by reviewing acquisition documentation, answering internal and external leadership questions, and providing executive meeting support.

Responsibilities

• Support program needs as it relates to advisory acquisition needs such as analyzing and providing feedback to program documentation.
• Help coordinate all required information into mandated repositories.
• Coordinate and track resolution issues to ensure they are addressed and closed.
• Maintain a central repository to support documentation, including IPRs, reports, documentation supporting high-level meetings and outcomes.
• Participate in analysis of alternatives (AoA) and provide advisory assistance as needed.
• Attend integrated product team (IPT) meetings as required, perform analysis of optional tools, and provide documented feedback.
• Provide quarterly IPR support, as required, to ensure synchronicity between project schedules and information.
• Experience in establishing and measuring against cost, schedule, performance metrics.
• Experience in creating project plans, cost estimating, risk management, and configuration management.
• Advise and assist functional area experts on contractual matters in the acquisition planning stages.
• Support documentation development for acquisition planning and project management from mission analysis and requirements generation through design, development, production, and deployment.
• Plan, prepare, track and maintain acquisition lifecycle documentation.
• Support development of acquisition milestone documentation.
• Facilitate/assist required scheduling meetings.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10 years' of relevant experience with Acquisition Analysis
• 3 years' of experience supporting management level individuals
• 5-7 years' of working knowledge of Defense Acquisition System (DAS) Milestones, Phases, and Policies
• Expert knowledge of Federal Acquisition
• Bachelors degree or 15 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, with shifting priorities
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, organized and a good problem solver

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with the DoD, Military Health System (MHS) and the DHA is highly desired
• JCIDS and/or PPBE experience
• Prior Adaptive Acquisition Flamework (AAF) leadership experience
• Active DoD CAC or Active DoD Clearance

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $175,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
